I'm really bad for never reading summaries haha which of course I didn't do for Assassin's Rose so I had no idea what I was getting into. Even the "Assassin" in the title didn't click until I had actually read it in the book lol. I also I have read KaSonndra Leigh's Lost Immortals series but still I didn't connect the two. I was definitely a little slow during this read. Assasin's Rose was a good read. I love how KaSonndra writes so much detail into her books. It makes it very easy to picture everything in the story. There was also lots of action, secrets, love and betrayals. Also I love the how this book is NA and the others in the "series" aren't.
I feel bad for Desi because of her situation in general, but then after what Seth gets her to do, then ditches her, what an ass! At the same time I blame her for letting someone take advantage of her so easily. I get that she wants to avenge her parents death but I think there were better ways to go about it. You can't help but get caught up in all the drama this story gives you.
I can't wait until the next short comes out. I found this novella to be very interesting Andrea he ending intrigued me and I want to see where it goes. I would recommend this story to KaSonndra Leigh's fans and those who want to give a different kind of story a try.
